The last few months…

It’s been a while!

CJProductions‘ design and print website (and I still need to update the portfolio section) and I’ve updated the Graphic Basics website as well.

Those of you who have eyes may notice not much has changed but it’s all in the back-end of it currently and will be populated with actual blog entries as well as the podcasts themselves (Blog site).

On that subject, there’ll be many podcasts for Photoshop arriving soon (hopefully). I’ve created all the different video elements for the project (bugs, idents, lower-thirds etc) and I have 6 full episodes written and the same again of ’supplementary’ episodes which cover some of the principles in Photoshop. The supplementary episodes are kept short and are on their own to enable people to jump into them at any time they need a reminder to save me re-iterating them again and again in future podcasts.

I’m really looking forward to the project and the only reason it’s not gone live yet is the fun and games with the migraines. Still feeling crap and have been off work for several months now while the doc’s trying different concoctions to lessen the severity and frequency of them. It’s mostly down to the side-effects of these meds that have been the greatest problem as well as loads of migraines being caused by unfortunate combinations - it’s all a bit hit and miss.

And on an even more annoying note, I’ve lost contact with all of my friends while being house-bound and mostly being computer-less due to the migraines. Life will get better! (it really can’t get much worse).

There’s nothing even remotely started with the ’sketchpad’ website so far and I’ll only re-look at starting this project after there’s been several podcasts for Graphic Basics. Although I have made my Joomla/Wordpress decision as the winner is…. Wordpress! Wordpress’ recent 2.5 update has made things a lot easier.

Look out world, I may even get something of note out there by the end of this decade.
