Hello World

I’m ready to start blogging to the world!

…well, sort of.

This is my first time so I’m going to have to start off slowly.

My current plan is to start a Photoshop training podcast. It’s going to be a more ‘work orientated’ podcast compared to the others out there. I’ll be focusing on more of the practical applications of Photoshop’s features and it’s use in day to day operations of a designer.

Back in the day of Photoshop 2.5, we didn’t have the amount of training resources that are available today and the digital age of design was only just beginning. There were no lecturers who had any depth of knowledge on the state of the digital age of design. I had learned how to use Photoshop but had no idea of the basic principles of resolution, colour space or file formats! This all came when I started a job at a local print/reprographics firm.

Several years have gone by since then but it seems the ‘real world’ side of training is still barely mentioned until the more advanced qualifications.

To everyone’s rescue comes Graphic Basics!

Anyway, I’ll keep you posted on it’s development!
